The Show

I grew up with a repressed, passive aggressive mother and a bipolar sister. I learned early that anger was dangerous and destructive, and to shove mine down deep. I became a quintessential good girl – who chased self-development like a drug to heal herself. I read all the books (mostly at Barnes and Noble), did the Tony Robbins CDs, and searched and studied and taught myself all the mindset and woo woo tricks for finding peace and happiness. But the anger never had a place to live. Until I started writing.
Sam Garland actor/ writer/ producer
A formerly Brooklyn-based actor, writer, and producer. I specialize in fast-talking, wise-cracking go-getters and goofy, lovable underdogs. I self-produced and starred in two Off-Off Broadway productions: “The Drunken City” by Adam Bock and “The Shape of Things” by Neil LaBute.
I wrote and produced my first short film in 2014, Ella at the Library, about a type-A grad student who desperately needs a book to finish her dissertation.
I’m currently in post on a short I co-starred in and co-produced, about surviving a friend’s suicide and pursuing love in the face of tragedy.
I’ve also been a creative career coach, working with writers, actors, and filmmakers to get out of their heads and get inspired in their work, to set clear goals and create concrete action plans, and to take bold action to create the careers of their dreams.
